Carbon dioxide is the burning of fossil fuels such as gasoline, coal, oil, natural gas in combustion reactions. It is a gas at standard temperature and pressure and exists in Earth's atmosphere in this state, as a trace gas at a concentration of 0.039 per cent by volume. Photosynthesis cannot occur in darkness and at night some carbon dioxide is produced by plants during respiration. Carbon dioxide is produced by combustion of coal or hydrocarbons, the fermentation of sugars in beer and wine making and by respiration of all living organisms.  It is exhaled in the breath of humans and other land animals. Burning of carbon-based fuels since the industrial revolution has rapidly increased concentrations of atmospheric carbon dioxide, increasing the rate of global warming.

Researchers say that carbon dioxide emissions from human activities such as fossil fuel burning are the primary cause of ocean acidification. I think this is true because all the gas and pollution we do to the earth.  Which people dump unnecessary stuff in the ocean which it makes it dirty and polluted, so yes I do agree with this.

The effects of this is increasing acidity will also change the ocean environment, with evidence suggesting that some organisms will be less able to survive, while others, such as sea grass, may thrive. As Daniela Schmidt says , the more CO2 emissions, the more acidification," Schmidt said. "The ocean is in direct interchange with the atmosphere”.

The plant function of carbon dioxide  is an important process.  The study noted that foliage in warm, wet regions such as tropical rainforests are near their maximum capacity. In warm, arid regions there is room for greater increases in foliage and rising carbon dioxide levels are inducing more prevalent plant growth. Carbon dioxide acts as aerial fertilizer and also helps plants thrive under arid conditions. Although global precipitation has increased during the past century as the Earth has warmed, elevated carbon dioxide levels are assisting plant life in warm, dry regions. “The effect of higher carbon dioxide levels on plant function is an important process that needs greater consideration,” said Donohue. “Even if nothing else in the climate changes as global CO2 levels rise. The satellite data show plant life in the United States has especially benefited from rising atmospheric carbon dioxide levels and gradually warming temperatures. This is also correct in my opinion. It really makes me think about how important the process of plant function is.

Coal , oil, and natural gases are all impacted in this world. Dealing with global warming and a lot of other things. Carbon dioxide goes along with all of these things. Volcano's erupting , pollution messing up the environment ,people and organisms and the ocean.  Oil is another is big pollution to the air . I think all of these have a big impact on life and the earth today. Some in good ways and some in bad ways
