Historical Background
Who: Joseph Black was the first to recognize Magnesium as an element. However Antoine Bussy made magnesium in to metal.
When:  1755 “first discovered” 1828 “Metal”
Where: Epsom England
How it was discovered: Magnesium was discovered when a farmer's cows refused to drink water because it had a bitter taste. The farmer did notice it had healing qualities.

Appearance: lightweight, malleable, silvery-white metal
State: Oxidation state
Density: 1.74 g.cm -3 at 20 °C
Melting Point: 648.8°C or 1199.84°F, boiling point of 1090°C or 1994°F

Specific Heat: (@20°C J/g mol): 1.025
Abundance: Is the 8th most abundant element
