Invention of the Car

By: O’Sha Rogers
The car was invented in the 1920’s, over the years the car has changed the lives of people for the better. It helped America and other countries' transportation. The first few years of the 1920’s, the car became a big thing with everyone, especially teens. Almost every household in America owned one. Parents drove to work in their cars. Families visited friends and family who lived far away. And teens found a new way to have fun. Soon after the car was introduced, a world wide road construction took place, which created even more jobs, which made the economy even stronger.
The first cars were made with a combustion engine, invented by Henry Ford. Henry Ford later founded the Ford Motor Company, which was known for bringing America its first affordable car, the Model-T. The first car was created much earlier, in 1866 by Richard Dudgeon in New York City. This first car was made with a steam engine.
I believe the car is the greatest invention because after the car became affordable they had to make roads and high ways for the cars to drive on and created even more jobs, which made the economy even stronger as I said in the last sentence of the first paragraph, and it made it easier to travel longer distances to see family.
